Israel Rallies around Netanyahu as the World turns against it

It should be apparent by now that the more world leaders turn against Israel, the more determined the Middle East democratic leader, Benjamin Netanyahu digs his heels in against its enemies.

Consider this.

- A group of scholars say Israel is guilty of genocide.

- Leaders of Christian denominations like the Church of England, The Episcopal Church and some Orthodox patriarchs excoriate Israel for its war policies in Gaza.

- Leaders say Israel is deliberately starving Palestinians.

- The IDF deliberately targets the press corps, killing over 270 of them.

- The IDF deliberately destroy hospitals, churches and convoy escorts to exacerbate tensions.

- Israel is deliberately withholding truckloads of food to starving Palestinians.

- Israel is causing famine in Gaza.

- Israel should stop the war regardless of whether the hostages are returned.

- Israel should accept a two-state solution.

- Israel has deliberately killed 60,000 Palestinians because Hamas says so.

- Bibi Netanyahu should be arrested for war crimes.

The list goes on and on. All of the allegations against Israel, when carefully examined, are fiction.

But it is fiction that works. Global antisemitism is on the rise. Jews are being hounded from “safe” western nations and forced to relocate in Israel.

Israel is surrounded by six nations half of them at war with Israel.

Iran would love to wipe Israel off the map and would do so if it had access to nuclear weapons. Hamas is at war with Israel in Gaza. Hezbollah, in Lebanon, is at war with Israel. Yemen and the Houthis would also like to erase Israel from the map. Syria, though silent for the moment would eagerly jump in if it could but doesn’t have the manpower or weaponry to do so. Turkey has turned against Israel. So has Australia and many European nations.

On the plus side, Israel has complete air superiority in the Middle East and can deal with its enemies with impunity.

The U.S. still supports Israel, perhaps the only nation on earth that does. Israel can make and buy enough munitions to ward off its enemies.

Israel is a thriving nation with a Silicon Valley second only to the U.S. Islam is incapable of producing anything original, it depends on western technology from cars to carbon dating to have anything like a thriving state. Even paved roads are of western origin. Despite its size, Israel has a long history of launching satellites into orbit using its own domestically-developed Shavit rocket. While Israel may not be considered a major space power, it has a notable history in satellite launches. Since 1988, the country has been successfully orbiting satellites using the Shavit (Comet) launch vehicle.

Hamas lives underground and when their tunnels are discovered and destroyed, they bring down the buildings above them.

Israel has offered to help Iran deal with its water crisis. Their Ayatollah and Imams could care a less about water failures; killing Jews takes precedence.

Women in Israel are treated with respect. They can get full on education in any field they choose; they can serve in the armed forces and have full voting rights alongside men. Under Islam women are oppressed, denied basic civil rights, made to wear clothing that covers every inch of their bodies to prevent men lusting after them. (Though how one does that is a bit of a mystery.)

Israel can put explosives in pagers to neuter Islamic leaders. Your average Palestinian can barely make a pager work.

Yes, and let us say it; Jews are smarter than the rest of us, and will always be one jump ahead. Of the 965 individual recipients of the Nobel Prize and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences between 1901 and 2023, at least 216 have been Jews or people with at least one Jewish parent, representing 22% of all recipients. Jews constitute only 0.2% of the world's population, meaning their share of winners is 110 times their proportion of the world's population. Think about that.

Get over it.

Netanyahu may not be universally loved but he is a survivor, and he knows his people and what he wants for his nation. The argument that he is keeping the war going to stay out of jail would have the same resonance as America’s current president. Name ten politicians that are not corrupt?

Every politician in Washington has access to company information to buy stocks before the rest of us, and they have made millions. Corruption is a way of life in DC. They have better pensions and medical than most Americans. (The median net worth for a member of Congress is over $1 million. The median wealth for an American household, in contrast, was $176,500 in 2022, the most recent data available.)

Jews have outlived entire civilizations, and they will be around if and when Western civilization collapses. God's promise to Israel is a central theme throughout the Bible, reflecting His covenantal relationship with the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This promise encompasses land, nationhood, blessing, and a unique role in God's redemptive plan for humanity. The promises made to Israel are foundational to understanding the narrative of the Bible and God's unfolding plan of salvation.
